The Coalition of Hematology and Oncology Practices of the Southwest (CHOP) is a meaningful support organization for independent oncology practice leaders in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Colorado.

Tammy Chambers is the Director of Contracting for The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders in Fort Worth, Texas where she has spent the past 18 years of her professional career.  The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders is a group of 18 medical oncologists, hematologists, and radiation oncologists that provide an extensive array of cancer services at eight locations throughout Fort Worth and the surrounding counties.  Patients have access to surgeons, pathologists, dieticians, integrative therapy and social service professionals, as well as access to a wide variety of clinical trials.

She has been a member of CHOP since 2002 and served as Secretary of the organization from 2005 – 2008.  Tammy is the Texas State Representative for COA’s Administrator’s Network and she is a member of AOHA.  She served on the Texas MGMA Legislative Policy Committee in 2003 as a part of the work group which helped to pass Texas Prompt Pay Legislation.  She was named a Healthcare Hero in 2002 by the Fort Worth Business Press.  Tammy volunteers with organizations such as Cancer Care Services, American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen, and TX GALS.

Mr. Hooton has been the Chief Operating Officer for the Cancer Centers of Southwest Oklahoma since 2007. Prior to that, he served as COO for Texas Hematology/Oncology Centers (Dallas) and was the CEO of the Arlington Cancer Center (Arlington, TX).
